Friday, 8 October 2010.

There was around 100 visits last year by our members in June however due to the increase in demand the we were curious to see the developments of the refinery growing from the 1000 sqm to the 3000 sqm. See for yourself:
Arrival in Turkey	Greeted at the Airport Check in at the hotel Jimmy Larsen, KB distributor, arriving at the refinery Entreance to the new KB depot (still being refurbished) Harald Seiz and Martina Days Customer Entrance, Still under construction Martina, Assistant Manager KB Vision, Stuttgart, posing! Whilst I apprecaite this looks somewhat gawdy, when your there this looks great. It offers great customer experience with examples of the gold in the display below the TV screen The newly designed packaging for the customer. This is the new part of the refinery. This is spread over 3 floors with an extra of 2000 square meters Melting process and production are separated from each other. Here we are in the "current" production building Stones from the mine KB. In the laboratory Gold samples are taken from the stones The stone is ground through the machine and the sand is separated from the metal This secret method is the reason that the KB is one of the few refineries, that has a "green" produce The process may take a little longer and becomes more expensive, but the environment is in no way burdened by it. A half-kilo gold jimmy sees gold, think he is going to try and make a quick exit!! The stamping plant. Here, the bars are punched	The Punch Machine that creates the little bars The weight of the bar is a 1000th of just punched up. The remaining gold that the punching leaves is melted down and recycled again. Here the weight is checked again manually Manual review of the gold to double check the weight and finnish The automatic process, where the bars are inserted the card into. Production amounts at the moment to 16000 pieces per day With the currently available machines, Kb provides 48000 pieces a day. That's a world record!!	The machine for the hologram In seconds, the hologram is inserted in the card Serial Numbers are embeded onto the card with country code An automated stamping process. in addition, braille was taken into account and added to the card too.
